Stray Kids Billboard 200 #1

2023 landed one of Willie’s biggest career highlights with the release of Stray Kids album ‘Rock-Star’ which features his production and writing on their song ‘BLIND SPOT’.

Rock-Star entered the US Billboard 200 at number one, dated November 25, 2023, making Stray Kids the first act to have first four chart entries debuting at number one since Alicia Keys (2001–2007), and One Direction (2012–2014). The album charted in 100 countries and has sold over 4 million copies worldwide.

BSS (SEVENTEEN) DEBUT ALBUM TOP CHARTS

K-Pop supergroup SEVENTEEN’s sub-unit BSS released their first ever Single Album which contained Willie’s song ‘LUNCH’. A funky, Prince inspired, bop co-written with Kyler Niko, this song showcases plenty of Willie’s musicality and diversity. The release was a commercial success seeing combined sales in Korea and China reach over 1 million and top the weekly Circle Chart in Korea!

NEW RECORDs set WITH NCT DREAM

Christmas was made special in the studio with the release of Willie’s ‘Take My Breath’ on K-Pop royalty NCT DREAM’s special mini-album. The album remains as the highest 1st week-sales for an SM Entertainment project on Hanteo with 1.6 million copies. It’s since gone on to sell in excess of 2 million copies and sits in the list of best-selling K-Pop albums of all-time.

The Boyz Single 'Whisper'

A highlight of the year was cemented when IST Ent flagship artist The Boyz released their summer single ‘Whisper’. Produced by Willie and co-written with Kyler Niko this song has all the trimmings of a feel-good, cutting edge summer bop. The mini album went on to top the charts in Korea and the World United Charts qualifying as double platinum with sales over 500k.

IVE DOUBLE!

Fantastic to announce Willie’s production and co-write ‘Royal’ features on the 2nd Single Album released by the sensational K-Pop rookie group IVE, who are making waves around the world with their sleek and fresh pop sound!

ASTRO SINGLE RELEASE BREAKS RECORDS

Korean boyband ASTRO released their latest full album, with the lead single ‘ONE’ produced by and co-written by Willie. The album, selling 4x better than any previous ASTRO release, has gone on to sell over 400k albums and counting, certifying Platinum in Korea and registering at #1 in both Korea and Japan. Notably, the song was also used to bring the KPop world together with members from many of the major Korean acts joining in support of their official TikTok dance!

NCT127 RELEASE 'CHICA BOM BOM'

2021 carried on in strong form for Willie with an exciting release for the legendary Korean outfit NCT127! ‘Chica Bom Bom’ is super fun and contagious song part of the ‘LoveHolic’ album that was certified Gold in Japan and sat at #1 on the Japanese Oricon chart at the end of both the weekly and monthly total round up!

Mx ‘Love Killa’ and Fatal love album

It was a special release in November for Willie, co-writing and producing his 3rd MX Korean lead single in a row (!) in ‘Love Killa’. The album was released containing a second song Willie also co-wrote and produced, Track #4 ‘Guess Who’.

The album debuted straight in at #1 in Korea on the Gaon chart and also saw chart success around the globe (US iTunes#3, Brazil#1, UK#10) putting it at #2 in the Worldwide album charts amongst very good company!

Monsta X Second Single!

Internationally recognised KPop Supergroup Monsta X released their latest Mini Album, Fantasia X’ containing two of Willie’s songs; the lead single ‘Fantasia’ and ‘It Ain’t Over’.

The album was launched to an incredible response, becoming Monsta X’s fastest selling album to reach Platinum status (RIAA certified), topping the US iTunes charts and reaching #2 in the World iTunes chart.

Debut band CRAVITY hit #1 in Korea

An impressive debut release came from ‘rookie’ KPop band ‘CRAVITY’ putting out their first album

‘Hideout : Remember Who We Are’, featuring the lead single ‘Break All The Rules’ which was co-written

and co-produced by Willie Weeks. The song made an impressive mark for their first outing, topping the Korean Gaon chart in it’s first week with sales of over 50k and gathering more than 10m hits on the YouTube video release in the first few weeks.
